How does it work?

Simply.

Just make a booking here and we will pick-up your pram, stroller or child restraint from your house at a time that works for you. We will then immaculately clean your items and then drop them back to you – simple and easy! No cleaning job is too small or too large – every single customer is valued by us.

All items are specially soaked, washed and scrubbed using natural, eco-friendly cleaning products (subject to our Safe Clean Guarantee) and specially developed cleaning techniques. Depending on your item, it usually takes two days to complete the cleaning and drying process to achieve stunning results. We are able to clean almost any type of pram, stroller or child restraint and have never lost or damaged a pram yet!

How long does it take?

We can usually provide a two day turn around time. Your item is soaked, washed and scrubbed in strict accordance with our cleaning guidelines and Safe Clean Guarantee. This time frame enables us to apply correct cleaning and drying methods to achieve amazing results. Simply book here and select your preferred pick-up and delivery times for your items.

How much does it cost?

Stroller (single occupant) - $55.00

Child restraint seat - $55.00

Please note that our pram cleaning price includes the pram frame and its wheels, child seat attachment, bassinet attachment and transparent vinyl/plastic rain cover. However, all child car restraint seats (including capsule attachments which attach directly to a pram) must be booked in separately as a child restraint car seat.

What is the difference between a pram and a stroller?

A stroller has smaller, usually non-inflatable wheels and an umbrella style folding mechanism (e.g. MacLaren strollers). A pram is pretty much everything else (e.g. Bugaboo).

My pram is gross, can it really be cleaned?

Your pram will get the TLC it deserves. It will be treated in a tailored solution of natural cleaning agents including lemon and vinegar extracts which kill mould spores and cleans many common stains. Whilst this treatment kills living mould spores it may not remove residual mould stains completely. Depending on the material of your pram, we can use a light chemical solution to better remove stains (Full Mould Treatment) - please note we do not undertake this treatment without your permission and it only uses chemicals in highly diluted firm and your pram will be soaked, washed and thoroughly rinsed again after this treatment. How often should my pram be cleaned?

We recommend cleaning your pram at least every 6-12 months whilst it is in regular use. We also recommend cleaning your pram immediately before placing it in storage. Food remnants (often invisible to the human eye) on your pram will grow bacteria which can be harmful for your child – regularly cleaning your pram with us ensures it is kept free from harmful bacteria and moulds that can cause unsightly stains and smells and also harbour nasty bugs and viruses.

What cleaning products do you use?

We use natural, eco-friendly additives, chemical free products and products derived naturally from plants. An exception to this is our Full Mould Treatment which uses some light chemicals in diluted form – please see our Safe Clean Guarantee for more details. Whilst most of our customers choose to have their pram treated for black mould in this way, we do not perform our Full Mould Treatment unless specifically requested by you at the time of booking. If you have any concerns on child allergies please email us before making a booking so we can be fully aware of any specific requirements.

Will you remove all stains?

All items are soaked, scrubbed and scrubbed again (you should see our muscles!) using specialist techniques and products. Any stubborn stains will be paid particular attention, however, we unfortunately cannot guarantee complete stain removal. We think of it like this, "If we wore the same pair of jeans every day for 4-5 years and then washed them the way we do, the end result will never be brand new, but it will be damn close!". We have thousands of customers who were literally gob smacked at how amazing their items looked after being cleaned by us.

What if I'm not home for the return of my pram?

If you are not going to be home for the scheduled return delivery, please contact us (email admin@prontopram.com.au) as soon as possible as a redelivery fee may be charged if we arrive at your home and nobody is there to receive the pram. If you have a neighbour that you know will be home or a safe, dry place (note: this is at your own risk, we accept no responsibility for prams left unattended) and you specify such when booking we will be more than happy to place your items in the desired spot.

My area isn't being serviced currently, how can I get my pram cleaned?

We are currently training dedicated cleaners right across Sydney. Unfortunately our cleaning processes, techniques and training are unique and we make sure all our cleaners are trained to the highest possible standards our customers expect. Unfortunately this takes time – but don’t stress, we will be opening in your area soon! If you know someone currently within our serviced areas you could ask them if you could use their address for pick-up and delivery. We know how it feels to pull a pram out of storage only to find it covered in filth... we will do our absolute best to help get your items cleaned and rolling again ASAP.

Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?

Do you only clean prams?

We are specialists at cleaning every kind of pram, stroller and child restraint seat. We have literally cleaned thousands of these items and think we know how to do it pretty well. We also offer cleaning certificates (proof of clean), pram wheel polishing and tyre inflation. Despite numerous requests, however, we unfortunately don’t clean dogs, cars, kids or carpets. On a slightly more serious note, we are unfortunately unable to install (or reinstall) child restraint seats or undertake any repairs on your items at the moment... but stay tuned, we will be offering these services soon!

Why are my wheels hairy?

If you push your pram in shopping malls then “hairy wheels” are inevitable unfortunately. The static electricity built up by your pram’s spinning wheels plus the grease on its bearings combine to make your wheels simply irresistible to stray (mostly head, hopefully!) hair. Other people’s hair nesting around your pram’s wheels? We agree, fairly gross. Leave it to us to clean up!

What do you do with the hair?

We seal it up as quickly as possible and dispose of it in an industrial grade incinerator ensuring it never touches another pram again! Okay, maybe not, but we do throw it in the bin as quick as we can...

I have a leather Emmaljunga pram, can it be cleaned?

We clean all makes and models of prams. Emmaljungas are beautiful prams however the leather/leatherette used on some models is particularly difficult to clean due to being so easily damaged if not handled correctly and in strict accordance with the manufacturers' guidelines. Due to the use of leather/leatherette and the way in which adjoining fabrics are attached to it we are unable to use many of our proven, specialist cleaning techniques on these unique prams. Depending on the current state of your leather/leatherette Emmaljungas pram this can materially impact on the final cleaning results. It is only leather/leatherette Emmaljungas that are uniquely affected in this way.
